I hardly know where to begin with this company. My move was scheduled last minute as I received a job offer from out of state. I received quotes from many companies, this one was one of the least expensive and the sales guy (Tom) was very nice and knowledgeable. Also, many of the bigger name movers were unable to accommodate me in such a short span of time as I would have needed my belongings in less than 2 weeks. My move was booked on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 for a pickup on Sunday, May 30, 2010 with the assurance my goods would be delivered to me the weekend of June 5, 2010. I start my new job on June 14, 2010 so this gives me a week to get unpacked and situated.
Move date: Movers arrive shortly after 9 am. They were scheduled to arrive at 9 am. No big deal there. They requested to see what belongings needed to be moved and were knowledgeable about what needed to be done and how to get the truck packed quickly. They had all of my belongings packed within 3.5 hours. I did have a lot of boxes and only a couch, bed, dresser, small display cabinet for furniture.
Friday, June 4th: I have not heard anything regarding my belongings being delivered so I call to inquire. I am lucky enough to get Tom who tells me my driver\\\'s name is Sergei and if I call him the next day he will give me the phone number, but my goods are on the way and I should receive them between Sunday and Tuesday at the latest.
Monday, June 5th: I call the office at 9:06 am to find out when I can expect my things and a woman that answers the phone tells me, only a guy named Greg can help me and to call back at 10:30 am as that is when he will arrive. I call back at 12:00 pm to be told by this same woman, Greg is at lunch and will be back by 1:30 pm. Really? Greg shows up to work at 10:30 am and gets to go to lunch at 12 pm and for 1.5 hour? I call Greg back at 1:40 pm, a man answers and tells me Greg is at lunch, call back in 30 minutes. I call Greg back at 2:10 pm and he is FINALLY back from lunch. He then states that he will contact me driver and call me back \\\"in a few minutes\\\" to let me know when I can expect delivery. I call him back at 2:39 pm since I got tired of waiting and at this points he bluntly states that the driver will be leaving NJ with my things the next day. I remind them that my delivery is now overdue and informs me I will get my things on Thursday or Friday and then asks me if that is ok. He at least gives me the driver\\\'s name and phone number. So they had my things sitting around on a truck or at a warehouse for 8 days and did not call me and inform me of any of this.
Thursday, June 10th: No one has called me yet about delivery so I contact the driver. He tells me, he has a lot of deliveries to make and he will get to me on Sunday. I informed him that I start my work on Monday the 14th and they have EVERYTHING that belongs to me, work clothes included so I really need my things. He rudely says, I will call you 24 hours in advance. See you Sunday.
Today, Saturday June 12th 11:00 am: The staff in the office hangs up on me and my parents when we ask what is the delay with delivery. Their only response is that they have 21 days to deliver to me. The driver says the truck broke down so they cannot deliver tomorrow (shocked) and they have no delivery date for me at this time.
I just filed reports with consumer affairs and the Better Business Bureaus. These people have stolen my things and have no intention of delivering at all.
No one has ever offered me an apology, a discount or shown any concern that I am unhappy with the service. Everyone there is consistently rude and they give the impression that you are inconveniencing them by calling to ask where your belongings are. Stay away at all costs.
